Some of my major conceptual inspiration includes Surrealism, Dadaism, and philosophies of the absurd, as well the aesthetics of zines, street art, protest art, and DIY and grunge subcultures. My work tends to involve grotesque subject matter, distortions of the human form, and experimental typography. I seek to disrupt notions of conventionality and refinement, especially within the context of art-focused institutions that are gatekept along the guidelines of class. Resistance to categorization is an important ethos that I maintain throughout my ongoing artistic development.

As I continue to develop my practice, I hope to expand upon practical applications of my design work in creating social change. I am inspired by work that simultaneously challenges systems of power while promoting meaningful action regarding social justice efforts and wish to expand upon this effort. I also draw from the ethos of countercultural artmaking practices and the social movements of decolonization and abolition of the carceral system. Simultaneously, my work as an artist is informed by existing in a post-Internet global context. I aim to integrate digitally informed techniques and cultural understandings into practically applied, low-fidelity creative outputs.
